Muskegon State Game Area
This past Saturday Cynthia and I explored the Muskegon State Game Area. While beautiful, it was thunderstorm-ey and full of bees.

The reason ducks are so buoyant is THEIR HEADS ARE EMPTY!

Yeah, about 90% sure.
UPDATE: This critter is actually a young Ant Damsel Bug (Himacerus mirmicoides).
It Ain’t Easy Bein’ a Duck ’round Here
This afternoon, while taking a break from writing code, I watched a young duck mis-judge the current and get swept over the Sixth Street Bridge dam. Fortunately, ducks are quite buoyant and this one made it to safety after a minute of being tumbled about in the turbulence at the base of the dam.
